ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects attention, planning and organisation, restlessness and activity levels. Diagnosis is made by a trained clinician through a combination of clinical interviews, questionnaires, and information from people who know you.
ADHD Therapy Australia is a psychology clinic.
Psychiatrists are medical doctors who assess and diagnose mental health conditions and can prescribe medication when appropriate.
Psychologists focus on helping clients build practical skills and strategies to better manage ADHD day to day.
Research shows that the best outcomes come from a combination of therapy and medication. If you have an assessment with ADHD Therapy Australia and receive an ADHD diagnosis, you can then choose to see a psychiatrist to explore whether medication might be helpful for you.
We are primarily an online practice, offering telehealth appointments so you can get support from wherever suits you.
We do however offer in-person appointments for assessments and therapy on Sydney's North Shore.
